Festival de Cultura y Tecnología Oaxaca

Rimiyoho was invited to perform for the opening of the Oaxaca Culture and Technology Festival, Rimiyoho presented a live drawing and animation performance on the historic facade of the Centro Cultural San Pablo.

As a vibrant garden of red flowers bloomed across the architecture in real time, dancer Javier Moreno interpreted the journey of a hummingbird, seamlessly weaving his movement into the evolving digital landscape, wearing a beautiful costume created by designer Itzel Gutiérrez. Accompanied by a live soundscape mixed and curated by Jesús Pacheco, the audience was swept up in a captivating audiovisual experience.

During the festival, Rimiyoho conducted special Tagtool workshop for kids at the Biblioteca Infantil de Oaxaca, empowering young creators to learn the app and use digital tools to explore their imagination in real time.

Live painting at Santo Domingo, OAxaca

Later in the festival, Rimiyoho took over the monumental facade of Santo Domingo, an architectural masterpiece of Mexican Baroque located right in the vibrant heart of Oaxaca City, where locals and travelers gather.

For this second performance, Rimiyoho transformed this iconic 16th-century canvas into a cosmic landscape, drawing a classic scene inspired by the eternal relationship between the sun and the moon under a sweeping, hand-drawn starry sky.

Illuminating the intricate stone carvings, which historically served as a visual narrative for the city, the live animation created a powerful contrast between ancestral architecture and contemporary digital poetry next to Pachiclón and Dr Alderete Tagtool performances.
